Our History

Gnanadharshan Seva Foundation was started in 2003 (Formerly known as Goodwill Foundation of India) by Mr.C.Sundaresan, a visually challenged person, with the help of few well wishers. Nearly 500 of its students have benefited from the support provided by the foundation and its volunteers and quite a few of them have secured Government jobs as well. It was inaugurated by Mr. Garimala Subramanian, a visually challenged person, who is working in “The Hindu”. From 2006, the foundation started a program called ‘Life star’ to impart life skills to visually challenged women. Courses such as Spoken Hindi, Spoken English, Handicrafts, Music, etc are taught to the visually challenged women with the objective of empowering them to secure a self employment. Goodwill Foundation of India was renamed in 2010 as Gnanadharshan Seva Foundation for the Disabled.
